The air-hydraulic BELL pumps in the UP version mean higher performance and efficiency with higher oil flows and bigger oil capacities (2,4 - 5 e 7 litres). They were designed for working even at a continous output pressure of 700 bar (heavy duty construction). They are meant to work with hydraulic oil and glycols to operate single and/or double-acting cylinders depending on the type. With the UPC type it is possible to operate the unit from a distance through the use of CETOP valves with electric or pneumatic control (optional). All the UP pumps by BELL can be conntected to the normal pneumatic circuit and are all equipped with a replaceable internal air filter. The working pressure range is approximately 2,8-10bar. In the UPF type the release valve is incorporated in the unit and operated through the pedal. This valve, whilst allowing a quick return of oil, is hydraulically damped to avoid any shock in the system. he oil pressure attained is not affected by any drop in pressure in the air line or even the air line being disconnected. Being real power units, the UP pumps by BELL have replaced the electric power units in many fields of application. Further advantages:
Oil flow The hydraulic pressure of the unit depends on the reduction ratio, on the setup of the max pressure valve and on the setup of the air compressed in input. It increases or decreases proportionally to the air compressed flow. The diagrams show the relation between the oil flow and the air pressure:
Air compressed: The air-oil intensifier can work at a minimum air pressure of 2,8 bar up to a suggested max air pressure of 10 bar. The minimum requested air flow is 340 Nl/min. There's no need of lubricated air, however we suggest to implement a filter to avoid condensate. The following diagrams show the air consumption at certain oil pressure and oil flow:
Stand-by/Restart mode: BELL UP air-hydraulic units can work at a constant hydraulic pressure by adjusting the air input. To obtain this, it is required to adjust the air pressure so that the pump stops working at the desired pressure value (the setup of the internal max valve must be higher than such value to avoid to start). Whenever the oil pressure drops, the unit re-start automatically to restore the desired output value. The following Stand-by/Restart diagrams show the pressure values to the related conditions. It is always suitable to check several times the settings by restarting the unit. A small pressure drop during the work in such conditions is considered normal:
